Week 9 Youtube

Not sure what happened ..it's been a little while since I've made
time to do any of the remaining 23 things I have to complete
But here I am again...exploring Youtube and what a hoot

Discovered Jason the courier has a radio ham video and Clare our student
librarian stars in a movie made by Graphic Design students, flamboyant in a purple wig.

Check out these sites I liked.. This is from Te Matatini- the kapa haka festival held in Palmy in February 2007

and from Parihaka Peace Festival a harpist playing beautiful music

Hope this works

Web 2 Awards list

Thought I'd fast forward and have a look at this. As an experiential learner I choose not to go in sequence. Anyway I eventually went to Web 2 Awards site, found one about conferences. Pretty
cool how you could search for them by subject, country and timeframe.
...hey you could decide on a destination then find a conference there..now there's an idea!
I liked this site. , but again I still find it annoying that it is all American, few indigenous and never heard of Maori but those are my hang-ups and I own them!
Also had a peep at the events one, kept defaulting to Levin which probably refutes the above moan...Oh well there ya go!

Well a week has flown passed, probably should do this after I try. I think this is an
interesting tool of learning given there is no feedback or assessments.

Magazine covers

Ok so I have been into Library thing...why I would want to create a virtual bookshelf beats me..
maybe I'm too old school and real to see the value in this.. but hey let's stay positive
It's pretty amazing and fun creating a magazine cover using one of my photos
You can check it out below I think!!

Another something???

Well , while I'm on a roll and mindful of the need for frequent revision to get anything into this head of mine I've put another photo up. This is my grandson Te Uira- pronounced
tear-we-rar/means lightning, he is named after his granddad who passed away last July. He is now 5 months and still an utter delight.
Think I'm ready for next lesson now..
